    Hi,
I have a problem with a new notebook, sound works perfectly, but the microphone doesn't work at all.
I checked in 'Recording devices' and it's enabled, I changed the levels to highest possible.

Borrowed a microphone to try but I have only one jack port for speakers and microphone and when I plug it windows doesn't 'see', just mentions that something new is plugged.

Few more technical information: Windows7, Audio Adapter: Intel Panther Point PCH

Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you mean a built-in mic or external mic?

What "levels"? Volume, microphone boost, or what?

That doesn't make sense. As far as I know, all headsets have two connectors, one for input (mic) and one for output (speakers). What make and model computer is this?

    Thanks.
Actually it was enough to reinstall drivers.
