Microphone

I have win7 64 Bit and I use Audacity.

I am looking at getting a good USB Microphone.

And I found the Blue Yeti.
It looks goot to me but I wanted to know what other people think?

The Blue Yeti AND The Blue Snowball are the two most common microphones used by Youtubers today. (You can find videos comparing the two)... These are USB microphones and if you opt for a NON-USB MICROPHONE you will be PAYING AN EXTRA $100 for power supply.

(The snowball is fine and you can find them on sale often for $40-60 brand new - Much cheaper than the Yeti)

Most Youtubers start with the snowball and move up to the Yeti... Some yetis (and snowballs -two types of snowballs) --- have omnidirectional microphones.. So if you are doing an interview those microphones record from both sides...

If you just want a normal starter microphone.. You probably should go with Snowball ICE...

You can also find these used quite often for around $2o.. You can hear comparisons all over YouTube.. But the ice is just as good as the yeti if you run it through a noise filter on audacity (free program for recording).

For USB microphones BLUE seems to be the best bet and there are a few other BLUE microphones around... AVOID Microphones that need alternative power supplies... That can get pricey.
