I Am at end street with this issue that had been occurring a couple of weeks ago, I made a document that include some pictures and lots of lettering and inittially I printed that OK with an "old" HP printer; when I needed to change some basic information and reprint the document 8 days latter, when I took a look with the printing preview it shows an empty page and of course does not print anything. Since it was an emergency I took the file to Staples and there printed OK. So I though that is the printer, so I change it for a Brother and try to do the same thing and the same thing happened, only shows an empty page I review the compatibility pack and it is up to date. So Maybe some major geek can give me an idea what else to do or I have to change to MS 2010??? thanks for your help in advance and for the long explanation!!!:-o

To open Microsoft Office Word 2007 .docx or .docm files with Microsoft Office Word 2003, Word 2002, or Word 2000, you need to install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats and any necessary Office updates. By using the Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system, you can open, edit some items, and save Office Word 2007 documents in previous versions of Word.

Have you tried printing a test page from the new printer to see if it will print that at all? This will narrow down the issue from software to printer install to formatting on the document.

    Yes, Office 2007.

Yes, I install the printer and try to print the same document with the same result, if I preview the document, it will preview a blank page and do not print, the printer just pass an empty page.:-o

Yes, I check the updates to that and I have that Compatibility pack installed

Try saving a copy in the .doc format. Be sure to use "Save As" so your original is still there...

You misunderstood what i meant. If you look at your printer theres a print test page feature in windows which will tell you if windows has the printer setup correctly. Can you print pages fine from other places?

Thanks, no. Only ask me to save it, I do that and what it saves it is an empty page, so does not print.

That is what I did the first time the problem was evident, the problem occurs with the original or any other copy that I made.

Is it just this one document, because this almost sounds like a corrupted file. If the original is corrupt, so will copies be...

Try starting fresh, create a new document and run thru the steps...

Add: If it is corrupt, you may be able to copy and paste the elements of the document into a new one. That has worked for me before, but not always...

Can you even print from other programs and or the internet? Im not convinced the new printer is setup correctly to start with, so troubleshooting the document itself is not the quickest way to resolve this.

Thanks, I did it in both ways: duplicating the document and replacing the elements and in both cases neither one printed.

I did not try printing from the internet yet. My daughter try this morning to print some school document, but I forgot to ask her if it was a word or Power Point document, but she said that the lettering printed well but not the clipart, figures (I do not know for sure what she meant for "figures").

When I did the setup of the printer, the only thing that I did not setup was the wireless.
