Microsoft Excel Problem

    My brother want's to find out how he can stop microsoft excl from overriding notepad,for csv. or txt. files,when he plugs in a mobile device windows views the files with excel instead of notepad. Oh and he has windows xp media center edition. Thanks,Tim
