This is a psuedo-assembly language used by .net compilers.

I want to know if it is possible to program directly in MSIL.
There are guys who do it with assembly,so why not MSIL?

Also where can I learn MSIL,Any books?

Apparently this are lots of resources on this, but ironically, I can't find many of them.
    Here's one I found.. http://www.awprofessional.com/articles/article.asp?p=25917&seqNum=4
It's not very comprehensive at all.
Honestly though, what would be the advantage of programming in IL aside from being language independent. All your code gets compiled into IL anyway and it's only one step down. It seems like a more complicated route to take IMO.

    Thanks Kodo!

I was just trying to understand what MS was doing with .net.
