Microsoft Keyboard Trouble

IE 6
Firefox 2.0.0.14
Microsoft IntelliType Pro 5.3- The original driver
Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A Connected By USB,

Not sure why or when this situation occurred.

Problem- When I make Firefox my default browser my "Web/Home" button brings up with this error- "The current assignment for this customizable key is not available. To reassign the key click next." So I navigate to Firefox & pick it. Problem solved- I never had to do this before.

Now the "My Favorites" buttons located at the top of my keyboard will not store the websites I input every time I press 1 of them it brings up "Assign My Favorites Key."

I have looked all over Microsoft's website for a fix & even tried the latest Intellipoint software. I tried XP SP3 with IE7 & tried connecting to PS/2 port. I reinstalled XP 3 times. All buttons work until I install something or do a registry clean. Not sure which one it is. I use CCleaner & Advanced WindowsCare V2 Personal with the latest updates.

This does not occur when I have IE as my default browser.

Is it a registry Key that is goofed up or could I have something blocked? Type32.exe starts up with system and is working in the processes & all other buttons are working ok.

Found my problem......

Advanced Windows Care 2.72 Personal

Not sure what steps it did, but it didn't reverse them when I tried the restore option.

Solution- Reloaded XP then use Advanced Windows Care 2.5.5 Personal
(Luckily I saved the previous version.)
