    Hi!
    I'm attempting my problem with Microsoft .NET Framework once more.

    In the past, I had a Microsoft Update for the Microsoft .NET Framework that would never download successfully. I'm attempting once more to solve this problem.

    This time, using "Add/Remove" programs, I deleted anything that had the words Microsoft .NET Framework in the title. I used Regseeker to clean up the registry. I found a couple websites where I downloaded the following (see pic), and was able to successfully receive some Microsoft Updates for the program.

    But now, here I am again, I have a couple Microsoft .NET Framework updates that are unsuccessful at downloading. What else can I do to make this work, for updates to run with this particular program. I tried the last couple of days, so I don't believe it's the website.

    Thank You

    Rather than goto Windows Update to get these, if some dont install correctly via WU, then grab the manual downloads and install those. This happens on occasion when the log files for WU on your PC just error, had a few myself in th epast adn found th ebest way to get back on track was to get the manual DLs.

    once installed then double check that Windows Update doesnt pick them up as missing.

    Question.
    Which .NET Framework Version 2.0 do I download?
    x86 version
    x64 version
    IA64 version

    I wasn't too sure which one to use, so I just grabbed the first one, x86 version. I tried the following;

    I followed the instructions then rebooted. (I don't remember rebooting with Halos suggestion, so maybe that's where I went wrong). I went to Microsoft Update and no more problems, yay!

    Thanks for your help!
    :D
    (PS...... If I downloaded the wrong version, please let me know and I'll try again.)

    Sorry I didn't answer you sooner. You got the right version - x86.

    Glad it worked for you.
