Microsoft Office 2013 installation

I've been trying to get my new computer going with mixed results. I'm running Windows 8.1 pre-installed. I bought the Microsoft Office 2013 one computer product. I downloaded and installed it with no problems. Used it once or twice during the day just to make sure it seemed alright. Then I had a different problem with the computer and tried doing a system restore. The restore point took it back to before MSOffice was installed (apparently) as I don't see it on here anywhere. Keep in mind I've VERY new to Windows 8.1, been using XP for years so maybe I'm just missing something. Anyway I can't find it and I can't figure out how to reinstall. When I try to reinstall by going to the same install screen I used before, it says it can't install, but doesn't really explain why.

Please help. I'm soooooo tired of messing with this. I just want a working computer!

Guess I should add, when I try to undo the restore, I encounter a problem with possible security issues. It goes round and round saying I may have viruses, Trojans, etc. This is from some kind of MS security something. I'm using the McAfee that came with my computer and as long as I'm on this version of the restore/undo restore, McAfee says I'm protected. On the other it won't let me do anything unless I buy whatever product their trying to sell.

 

The "MS security something" sounds like a fake antivirus program. You need to read and follow all the directions here: READ & RUN ME FIRST Malware Removal Guide (incl. spyware, virus, trojan, hijacker)

Your alternative is to pay a professional or throw yourself upon the mercy of a more computer literate acquaintance. It looks complicated but the instructions are very clear.
