Microsoft Office And Word Issues

I have been having some issues with the Microsoft office and especially with Word. When ever I open it, I get te following window and not sure how to fix it. Appreciate assistance!

Additionally, I have been unable to do software updates on this laptop as this was my old work computer which company went bankrupt and wondering how it is best to update to Windows 10 for free .

 

I have also downloaded Windows update to fix the updates and get the following popup

 

What version of Microsoft Office (2003/2007/2010/2013/2016) do you have installed?
What Operating System (and any Service Pack) is on that system?

Windows 10 free upgrade (for users of Windows 7 or 8) ended on 29 July 2016. It only applied to Windows 7/8 Home or Professional and not 'Enterprise'. The only exception to that cut off date are registered users of Assistive Technology who have until 31 December this year to get the free upgrade. If you are not a registered user of that special technology you can't get Win 10 free.
And looking at an old thread of yours, if your existing system is an 'Enterprise' version then the free upgrade of any kind was never allowed.
