Microsoft Office not working

Im using a family members computer that has Microsoft Office Pro 2003 installed on it. Evidently a while back it stopped working and nothing Office can be used. Nobody knows exactly why or when but think that installing some games off of cd was the reason (Doom etc)

The computer goes into a reinstall mode but stops with the error message of not being able to find installation file SKU1E3.CAB. The choices then are to reinstall the cd or find it in the directory. Office was installed on cd but nobody knows where that is...is this a lost cause or can it be fixed?

Happens on occasion with some Office updates and as the MSO cache of Office files ( Office by default installes the installer files from the CD to the hard drive unless you specify for it not too in which case you will need the CD ) are in a hiddern folder you have to make the folder viewable again then open the office app up again to complete the install, then you can hide the folders again.

Still not quite getting it to work. I tried to run the windows installer package PROI11N.MSI from the MSOCache which would allowed you to reinstall/ fix repair office. It still comes up missing SKU1E3.CAB, however i did find a SKU1E3.XML which I did a search on mcrosoft.com, and that search came up with nothing.
