microsoft office outlook

I am having difficulty with my outlook in microsoft office, I have stopped using it and check my email through the website. This isn't really convenient, but I have contacted Dell, Norton, and have received no help. Of course everyone wants to just wipe out everything on the computer and start over. I certainly do not want to do that. :cry

My error message appears when I send/receive. I can't receive my emails and I can't send. It says operation timed out 0x8004210A. I was hoping for an easy fix. Is there a way I can uninstall and reinstall just the email portion?
