Does anyone know how to disable ClearType in Outlook 2007? I can't find it anywhere, I found it in Word, Excel and those but can't find it in Outlook.

There are two methods you can try.

    Online:
    http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/Step1.aspx

    Or offline:
Right click on the desktop, select properties, click the appearance tab, click the "effects" button. Within "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts". Make sure this reads "standard". (instead of clear type)

This is from memory BJ as I'm not at home to use my laptop which has office 2007 on,

Tools > Options > Mail Format > Editor Options > then you should be able to uncheck it from their.

For IE7, you can disable clear type, by going into Tools, internet options, Advanced tab, uncheck "always use cleartype for HTML". Under "Multimedia".

I will say this, the new Office is awesome but it will take some getting used to. Outlook looks a lot better, not too many changes but the other applications like Word, Excel, etc; they are completely different and will take some getting used to.

I need to get Vista installed, I've been too busy to do anything lately. I managed to get Office installed this morning, so far I like it a lot.

I'm also loving the new version of office. IMO, it is easier to navigate visually, then past itterations. :)

Yeah it is, once I get used to the new interface I will love it. I don't like the icons but everything can't be perfect, lol.

    Good stuff BJ,

Yeah I like Office 2007 also, works really well in Vista. Also the template selection with MS office online is now much much better, plus if you dont like th eribbon menus you can go back to the old office varient menu.

I just waiting for work to open up their MS Vol Licence up to MS HUP so I can get a copy.

My bad BJ, I actually thought I'd seen someone I know use the old style menus in Office 2007, convinced they also showed me how to activate it too but I wasnt listening, I will have to ask them as I prefer the new layout but some dont, so I'd like to know.

I'm convinced that they added it to the B2TR... maybe I was dreaming :(
