Microsoft Outlook Problem

When I tired to send out an e-mail I get an error message

could this have something to do with my settings?

Do you have the Server Port Number for Outgoing mail set to 587?

no i didn't. If i change it, will that fix the problem?

gpurbpur, what's the purpose of your last post? Are you saying you had the port set at 587 or that you have now changed it to 587? And, is the problem solved?

See, sometimes, pictures just aren't enough to convey the message.

Is AIM your email account with AOL? If so, I do not think those settings are correct. Never seen POP settings with @aim.com, it's usualy @aol.com

my last post was showing that i changed it, and either way it still didnt work. and yes the account is with aim.com

In the first screenshot, check/tick the bottom selection: Require Logon using Secure password Authentication.
Note: I do not know if it is needed but it is worth a try to see if it does.
If you notice no change, then go back in and uncheck/untick the selection.
