Aw never mind.(edited) From seeing your other posts on this, you seem to have your mind set on one thing so trying to convince you otherwise is a waste of time.

 

I think you're missing the point. This problem is of CRITICAL CONSEQUENCE. Probably more so than many of the other problems MS has had. You see, this flaw(feature) allows people to place a trojan on your machine from POPULAR and TRUSTWORTHY sites on the internet.. for example a site such as Yahoo (not that they are a risk, just providing an example as a popular site).. The popularity of a site like that , coupled with millions of IE users could spell disaster for banks who's clients passwords were stolen by a keylogger placed on their machine via this flaw.

In the past it had mostly been the case that you would really only have to worry about "bad" sites like warez and porn sites.. but not anymore and that is the major reason for the shift from IE to alternative browsers.

 

im still trying to get used to IE!! i also have OE, as it came automattically with the dsl. is outlook exspress any better that IE ? ive read the comments on firefox and it seems to me that i need to know a great deal more about my puter to even be able to use it. is that an unfair conclusion? aloha laurie

 

OE is an email program. IE is a web browser.

You don't have to know a great deal about your computer per say but you will have to understand several concepts before you can use FireFox effectively. Don't let that scare you. The biggest thing is to understand what an extension is. It is what it says it is.. an EXTENSION to the program (firefox) that allows it to perform some EXTENDED functionality.
Laurie, I honestly think you will be able to load and configure FireFox with out many problems. Like anything new, there are always questions. That's why we are here
