What is the best, least expensive way to obtain Microsoft Powerpoint. It is needed for our teen's homework, we don't have it and would like to download it online. Thanks for any help.

One way is to buy the Microsoft Student and Teacher Edition 2003 (or whatever is the latest released version).
It has Word 2003, Excel 2003, Outlook 2003 and Powerpoint 2003.

It requires Windows 2000 or XP.
The 2003 version is licensed for noncommercial use on up to 3 Home PC's.

I assume your teen is a "Full or part-time student".

This is the major legal requirement by MS to install this program legally.
Read the back of the software package thoroughly before outlaying $$$, just to be sure.

Another way, might be to contact the school.
They may have special arrangements with Microsoft, or have special deals somewhere. Bazza

If your teen only needs powerpoint to view the prensentation you can get powerpoint viewer from microsoft.com/downloads not sure if there is a charge $$$$ worth a look see

Hi

While the Powerpoint viewer is free to use it will not allow you to edit or change the presentation Powerpoint Viewer

But as MS Office is expensive if you need to create or edit presentations, their is an alternative option in Open Office which is free and has as part of its package Impress which is a Powerpoint clone and will allow you to open, edit, create and save in Powerpoint format.
