What have your experiences with it?

I have been running it since Dec 10th, I opened the history the other day and found two trojans one removed and one quarantined. This was after having run Malewarebytes and Superantispyware, so it seems to me to have a stronger male-ware section then either of those two. So far it is proving to be very good, now I wonder when MS with throw a price tag on it?

Did you upload the file to Virus Total to double check? I'm on avast home and I'd be dumbfounded if it warned me or caught two every month.

This could also be due to my boring computing habits. Don't mean to to say you are over zealous and don't surf safe LOL
Plus I assume your MBAM and SAS are free and scanners only, right?
    Cheers..

    Hi

I like it too and run it on my laptops, and from what I have been told and reading the convos in the beta newsgroup for MSE is that MSFT are not going to charge at all for this, they learned a lesson I feel from OneCare and decided to and this was to in some way offer Trusted Computing feel to all, as the information that was collected from many surveys is that many computer users dont have any security apps, out of date ones that the licence expired on and dont update, and they dont update, so offering free as many other companies do (Awil and AVG etc etc) does go some way to help curb malware as whats not good about FREE, all it takes is the time to download and install, so everyone should be able to achive this.

As Sikvik mentions, if found two trojans, where they in surfing the net on a webpage or in a downloaded app, as you could have in the case of the app a false positive if the source file was a known good one or an infected webpage, thats the only time its flagged up something for me or actually wasnt me but my mother when I gave her my laptop to surf the net, and she didnt know looking for a medical thing that the site looked iffy! (iffy = suspect)

So far I think it is as good or better then any of the $$$ suites out there, though I still have a soft spot for Kaspersky.
