Microsoft SP2 Official Help Line...

there is a help line to call, not sure of the number

 

We have members here that work for that lol. Thats why i love this place.

 

I work with these people, albeit not directly.

Be very afraid of MS SP2 support.

They barely know Windows XP, and are supporting SP2?

Scary.

 

I think this forum wouldnt be complete without you adrynalyn. were lucky we have someone who actually is a REAL support person. which is awesome.

What are you talking about, Im saying that I like that idea that we have a real support person. Which means that we DO have professional help here. Relax.

 

I wasn't calling him a poser, what I meant to say was beware of the SP2 support posers, that's all. I thought Adrynalynes post was hillarious.

 

I see increased call volumes, hot customers, and formatted computers because of them. They can take a minor issue and completely hose the machine. They are very skilled and efficient...at destroying data, and operating systems.

They were literally trained on Windows XP for 1-2 weeks max, and are supporting a service pack, which is more of an OS upgrade.

Posers, indeed!

--In defense of some, there are a few that were previously XP techs, and are good at what they do. But they are few and far between.

Get the real XP support line. They know more, and can do more with Sp2 than any SP2 support queue. There are exceptions to that, of course (check my sig).

 

Is the # in the blog? If not I need to PM you to get it, SP2 should be in the mail to me now... And I don't wanna have to reformat again so soon after just doing it...
