    now that microsoft seems to be only supporting windows 10 is there anywhere to go get old KB articles???

    Not true. Read here:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/lifecycle
    All KB articles for all OSs (Vista onwards) are still available.

    Microsoft is still supporting windows 7 but slower and vista windows 7 will end it's support date in 202o.

    Future Windows patch downloads will be available from the Update Catalog via IE, not from the Download Center.

    While many new updates may not come for OS older than Win7 or 8 there is the technet library that normally has most if not all KB articles https://technet.microsoft.com/library/default.aspx while its not listed in the main directory, XPs KBs are still available to a point, depends on how you word your search, but you can find most.
