Microsoft System Management Bios Driver

    I'm working on a pc running Windows XP, PIII 863, with 512 ram

    I'm having problems clearing the yellow exclamation point next to the Microsoft System Management BIOS Driver under system devices. I have tried to load the driver from the XP cd and reinstalled Windows. Nothing has worked yet.

    This is stopping me from getting updates from Microsofts web site. Anyone else experience this problem.

    Have you managed to resolve this yet?

    One thought of mine is, have you installed the Intel Chipset Drivers, they are needed to allow many hardware devices being picked up by the OS and correct drivers installed.

    Depending on Chipset used, below is the Matrix will the major chipset drivers
