Microsoft Word 2002 Will Not Recognize Printer!

I am completely aggravated and I've exhausted Microsoft's support pages.

The PC in question is running Windows XP Home Edition. The printer in question is a Brother HL-2170W wireless, that is hooked up by USB and only used for said PC. It is installed and driver is up to date.

The printer prints from ALL programs where printing is possible EXCEPT Microsoft Word 2002 (with Frontpage--relevant?). It used to work fine! I'm ready to throw everything out the window. I have tried the following with no avail.

• MS Word Detect & Repair
• Uninstall MS Word & Reinstall
• Uninstalled & Reinstalled printer TWICE
• Checked printer spooling (which is enabled)
• Created Generic/Text Only printer, did the switcharoo. NADA.
• Repair of Normal.dot template (which wasn't corrupt to begin with
• Ran Macros repairs

Currently at my wit's end (which normally does not happen). Attached are screen shots of the error & Printer and Faxes folder. PLEASE HELP.

The only thing I haven't checked out are the HKEYs involved with this nonsense...which I'd rather not mess with on my own..

 

Okay. I solved the problem by getting rid of 2002 and installing Microsoft Office 2007.

Can someone close my post please? The problem (annoyingly enough) was that the version I have somehow got corrupted. I refuse to find out why. Solution for all you with the same problem: install a newer version of Word.
