   homepc Private E-2

   When I open Word, and click File; Open, I get the hour glass and it just stays, nothing happens, then I must manually end task for Word. It also happens when I try and do a Save As. I have uninstalled Word and reinstalled it, but the problem is still there.
   
   Any suggestions?

   Quick question do you have Norton Antivirus or Interent Security?
   
   if so you will most likely need to disable the Norton Office plugin http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820#E4ADAAA
