Microsoft Word, 2016

    All of a sudden, I'm having a problem with word and how it opens. My word software would always open in a normal sized window so I could see the desktop behind it from the left, right, top and bottom of the page. Now word is opening up in a maximized window and I cannot see the desktop. I need my word document to open back in a normal window so I can flip back and forth between windows. I'm a college student and do this a lot when I'm writing papers.

    Usually, things like word and notepad will open in the same size as it was last closed. Are you resizing it and then closing it? Does it reopen in the last size?

    Not that I remember, but even so is there a way for me to fix this? It's so annoying that it keeps opening up in a maximized window.
