Microsoft word freezes when launched

Hi guys, I'm new here. I was gonna bring my computer into the shop, but thought maybe you guys could help me first. For some oddreason just today, when I click onmy Word 2000 icon, it begins to luanch, like the Word 2000 introductory box pops up, but the the system freezes. I ran spybot and it came up clean. I ran adaware and removed the necessary cookies. I also did the regedit, but didn't see anything that really looked out of place, although my technical skills are limited. I ran a Hijack This log, and it is pretty short, howver I don't really know much about them. I was wondering if any of you knew if this was a common problem or not. By the way, I'm running Windows ME operating system, so it could be thats the root of most of my problems. any help would be much appreciated.
