Do you guys know where I could download Microsoft Word? If that's even possible. This is really important, so get back to me.

    Thanks.

I'd use AbiWord or OpenOffice, two very good (and free) word processors. AbiWord in particular goes out of its way to emulate the MS Word interface.

apart from the above two options Cano, MS Word is not available as a legal free download.

Thanks for all the help guys... I think I'll just use WordPad for now. Anyone know how to make a 1 inch margin in WordPad. I'm writing an essay and we have to have a 1 inch margin.

I woldn't use word pad for that stuff. I would just download open office. it is so much easier, and you will like it.

be sure to enable word wrap also so that way it recognizes the margins

Halo, any way to stop those 2 little b*stards from moving in Word 2000 (part of Office 2000). They really drive me to distraction. Can I delete them, or freeze them, or something. Bazza

Bazza, what I normally do as I dont like the default page setup in Word is to goto File > Page Setup > adjust the margins/top & bottom to what you want then click Default button, you will get a warning about the change but carry on and your settings wil be saved to the Normal.dot file so every time you open a new word page they will be at the settings you want.

Thanks Halo, will do. But does that freeze them? They really annoy me when they move all over the place. Baz

They tend to stay where they're told for me when starting new documents.

but if its a document already produced it will open with the pre-defined settings at time of saving and wont conform to what you would have set for yourself ( if that makes sense )

I want to use it for new documents, mainly, so will give it a try. Thanks again, Halo. Baz

    For anyone who needs it.

    Legal Word 2003 download

It's only a trial from microsoft so I don't know if it'll do what you want.
