Microsoft Word Quick help

    well its microsoft word 2002. I dont know out of nowhere this weird *** sign has apeared and reapears every single time i hit enter and make a new line.. its extremely anoying and i want to know HOW TO REMOVE THIS!?!?

    i tried googling it but nothing..

    EDIT: I fixed it.. i had to reset my MS word , it also made like - that looked like . after every time i made a space

    It's in Format > Reveal Formatting > Show all formatting marks
    Or your normal doc is corrupt.

    For future reference, that is the symbol for new paragraph. Every time you hit enter, that symbol appears (it might be hidden if reveal codes aren't shown).
