    Hey Geeks,

The company I work for, is a Microsoft Channel Partner. I received an evaluation copy of Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003. Never used. When I try to activate over the internet it gives an error "Message Number 32781". I tried calling them and they could not generate a number for some unknown reason. They transferred me to someone who told me there is no phone support for eval. software. Which is dumb because if I am evaluating software that I can't get to work, thats not much of an evaluation and why would I buy your software?
Can someone help or give me ideas why this won't work? All MS suggested was googling it and looking at their newsgroups, which says nothing about my particular problem that I can find.

    Thanks!

The main reasons Windows XP/2003 will not activate:

    1. Its pirated, or someone tried cracking it.
    2. Its already been activated.
    3. The WPA files and/or registry entries are fooked. This would stop them from generating a valid activation code from the code provided by your computer, as well.

If 1 and 2 don't apply, I would try a new install of the eval. copy.
