MIDI port

I have a midi port support juystick but i don't have the midi port in my mobo. (Use it to play IL2 on my old mobo). Is there any way I can use my joystick on my recent purchase new mobo (Abit NF7). My mobo has the following ports only.

1) COM1/2
2) LPT1

I have the same problem, I wanted to use an old gamepad that used the game/midi port. The only way round it is to buy another soundcard and fit it into a spare PCI slot. Usually, the PC will have no problems running two soundcards and you just choose which one to use in Windows.

If you only want it for the game port, you can pick up a very cheap (<£10) soundcard that will do the job.

Another option is to get a new joystick, almost every new game controller is USB now.

Do you know how to free up resources, just purchases a sound card with midi port. After I installed the driver, the following driver status pops up.

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

 

Under resources it also said:

" Input/Output Range 0200 - 0207 not available "

 

erm, not off the top of my head, let me look into it...
