My hardrive is getting real filled up, so i plan on getting another one. All my slots in my bay are filled (dvd reader, cd burner, default hardrive). Ive never installed a new hardrive before. Does it use the same connection cables are optical drives? Because i plan on getting a way bigger hardrive, then taking out one of the optical drives temporarily, put the new hardrive in and use Acronis Migrate Easy, and migrate all my files onto the new one and then take the old drive out and replace it back with the optical...is this all possible? thx for any reposnses.

if you buy IDE new drive then it's possible to use the same connection cables as optical drives, but if the drive would be SATA then not. To transfer all data from the old drive to the new one you need to hook both drives and run Migrate Easy, then when you finish the clone process change drives, make the new one as a master and the old one as a slave.
