Minidump error

Hi guys,
Just wondering if you can help me out. My buddy keeps receiving this error whenever he tries to connect to the internet. The system crashes and then he receives the following error when it boots up:
c:\windows\minidump\mini 120705-03.dmp
c:\...\temp\wer1.tmp.dir 00\sys data.xml

I've told him to try and reinstall the drivers for his modem as I suspect it might be a hardwrae conflict. Does anybody have any other suggestions?

You can debug these minidumps, HERE is a guide by Adrynalyne.

I'd also make sure you don't have any errors in Device Manager, and that you are using updated and compatible drivers.

 

Thank you very much for your help. It was quite useful. I tried it out and found out th reason for the one crash that I had on my PC. I will pass the info along to my buddy and hopefully I will be able to find out what is causing his crashes.
