mIRC connection help

Trying to use mIRC I am completely new to it. My main problem is connecting to a specific server and channel. they are as follows:

Join our IRC Channel:
Server: irc.rizon.net
Chan: #Exiled-Destiny

I have tried various guides I am running version 7.27 of mIRC.

When I connect it seems to constantly disconnect and try to reconnect. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Wow - blast from my past. I've not used mIRC in years. Used to a bunch.

The only thing I can suggest is to try connecting to other channels and see if the same issues persist. If it this way on all channels, then there is something up with your system - usually it's firewall related, as I found out when I used this method to trouble shoot issues.

Good luck with it. If I think of other trouble shooting tips I'll chime in.

 

It may be firewall I will check that but its not the channel its the server it cant connect too stably.

 

sorry for double post. I have tried pinging irc.rizon.net and it lost all 4 packets however when trying through rizon's site I was able to connect easily so I don't know what is going on.

 

You can tell a server to not respond to pings, Have you tried a different irc client on your machine? Does the error message in your irc client give any hints as to why? You might be ip banned by accident or by a previous person who had your ip address.

 

I don't know what I did I was messing with settings and now it works thank you for your help.
