i am in a small subdivision, so i suppose it could be called 'town' if you stretched the definition. we certainly dont have the privicy and space we used to, but the house is nice, the yard is big enough, and to english standards this would be considered luxury. we were fortunate to find a place that didnt mind our dogs. not only does our landlady accept our pets...she loves them and is glad that the house is being rented to dog lovers. god is good. :)

Welcome back laurieB. Finding a landlady that welcomes pets is indeed a blessing... and becoming somewhat rare most places. I'm glad the place is shaping up, and that the move didn't do you in. Moving's never an unmitigated joy. :)

you should have given me a call and come over to the big island. i would have shown you round. all the islands are beautiful. i am going to Kauai next week to visit with my daughter. looking forward to getting away from all these men, lol. didn't get to spend much time with her when she was here so it will be good to 'reconnect'. the island is still 'settling' after the earthquake. at least thats what 'they' are calling it!! we have had tremors most days, but only minor rumblings. i was having 'separation anxiety' each time my son or hubby went out somewhere, but that seems to have passed now. moving has redirected my energies. it is such HARD work, and although the men are at least good for all the lifting and humping, they were all pretty much useless prior to and thereafter. ive pretty much got everything sorted now, and will spend this weekend rearranging it all to suit. i am the sort of person that is not at ease until things are 'just so', but fortunately hubby is used to 'move that there, no half an inch to your right, no changed my mind move it back...'etc, however once i have things where i think they should be, i rarely change it again. its a balance thing between aesthetics and practicalities. well anyway, good-morning peeps. time for some more caffine. aloha to the max.
