Missing Audio Device - Please help

My computer is a Dell Latitued D620. I am running Windows XP. I think I may have deleted my audio driver, I’m not sure, all I know is my laptop no longer has sound. When I open Control Panel> Sound Speech and Audio Devices, the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties box says “No Audio Device”. I am not sure how I messed things up this bad and I have no idea where to begin with fixing it.
Any advice would really be appreciated. - Angela

Please provide your Dell Service Tag identifier - usually it's a 7-character alphanumeric sequence found on the bottom, back or side of your machine.

Please download and install the R171789.exe on this page - make sure that you reboot your machine after installing the driver package.
