missing contact list in Live Mail

I lost my contact list in Live Mail when changing to a new gmail address from a previous one with Comcast. Looking for info on how to find it and restore it in the Live mail program.

Do you still have the Comcast account? If not It's most likely gone forever. If you still have the Comcast account log in, and retrieve it from there.
Myself I don't know anything about Live Mail, or how it works. If you had Outlook, you would still have your contact list, and the account listed in the program.
Hopefully someone else here can be more helpful.

 

The Comcast account is closed and their support folks were not sure if the
contact list was on their server or in the Live Mail program some where. Tried
some file search steps from a MS help forum without success. They may be,
as you think, lost for good in cyber space.

Try a system restore from before the change. then open the program offline to see if you have your contact list. .
Copy and save the list on a thumb drive. then restore it back to the current.

then email the list to your new account. when you go back on line

 

If you mean Windows Live Mail and you're using it as an email client for your email, i.e. you've set up your email account in WLM as a POP3 account or IMAP account, then, yes, the contacts are stored on your hard drive.

 

It was a POP 3 account with WLM using Comcast servers. Will continue looking for the missing contacts on the hard drive.
