Missing dll files and slow pc

I have been going through the malware thread and now they sent me here because I have no malware. My pc is exceptionally slow and I many missy DLL files. SFC will not work. I will attach my other thread where you can read in more detail what all I have done and checked. I really need help. Thanks.

I ran the repair and it actually seemed to help a little bit. I had to redownload IE& and when I ran windows update it came up with 87 updates I needed. I downloaded them all and they fail to install. I have been all through Microsofts support pages changing stuff and reinstalling stuff. Windows Installer being one of them. My biggest problem right now is to figure out how to get all of those updates to install. Also when I first log on or switch between profiles on my computer, my network adapter has a red x on it and I have to repair it 2-3 times and then sometimes it still doesn't work. I come back later and it is ok. I have uninstalled it and downloaded new drivers and it is still a problem. I bought a new router and it hasn't helped. My next purchase will be a new Wireless N adapter but I wonder if all my problems are connected. The windows update failing to install really has me stumped right now though. Any suggestions would be great. I will try anything short of wiping windows out and starting over.
There are still some DLL files missing, but they all start with WMV or WMA so I figure they are something to do with windows media player.

 

After a lot of pain and searching, I found another thread on here that helped me install the updates. My PC is back to normal except it still is slow to load progams, surf the internet, start up, etc.

 

I ran CCleaner but didn't think about defrag, thanks.
