Missing DLL files in reinstall-Any Disk??

    I have tired 5 seperate XP disk to reinstall Xp on my moms computer. Everytime I always get some "Missing ???.dll hit enter to try again oe Esc to skip file" error screen. Its usually 10 to 15 of the same files one EASH DISK but then a few different as well. 3 of the disks have a few scratches but the other 2 are like brand new-never used! How can a NEW disk be missing files?? I can install XP anyway but what to I need to do about the missing files?

    COuld it be a bad motherboard? memory? hard drive? dvd drive?

    Every time that has happened to me its a dirty disc. Try wiping it off in a circular fashion. If still not working, polish it with toothpaste.
