Kestrel13! (Major Dilemma) suggested I post on software instead of malware removal. Below is what I recently posted:

Missing .dll files, is it malware?

Started having a blue screen that flashed up VERY quickly. Looked like it said, "Hi [administrator name], you're dead." It happened a couple of times, but it was so fast, I'm not positive of the wording. Whenever it occured, my computer restarted and froze during the reboot. I had to turn it off and go through a system repair to get it working again.

A few days ago, this happened again (I believe it happens while on the internet) but this time it wouldn't repair properly. When I finally got windows back, I lost internet access. Can't use ie or google. Says I'm missing comctl32.dll, msvcr80.dll, msvcr90.dll and gdiplus.dll. I tried a system restore but that failed.

I have done the "Please Read..." steps and will attach the logs that I was able to get. On Step 2, I couldn't completely uninstall the AVG program. It wouldn't let me uninstall 2 AVG.dll files, but the rest of the AVG files were deleted. I'm currently running McAfee but turned off the protection during the steps.

I have a 64-bit laptop that's running Windows 7. I copied my logs onto a flash drive so I could load them onto a computer with internet access.

Step 3 - disk emulation software. I honestly don't know what this is but I don't have Daemon Tools on my laptop.

Malwarebytes and TDSskiller won't run. Error message says, "The program can't be started because comctl32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Please let me know, what you think I might be able to do to get back up and running!

    Thanks!!!

I tried to load the logs from the Hitman, RogueKiller and MGtools but since it was loaded in my previous post on the malware forum, I got an error message. If you need me to do something else with these logs, just let me know.

    Thanks again!

I don't know the version of Windows 7 Home Premium. I went to start, right-clicked on Computer, clicked on Properties and nothing comes up.

I started up in safe mode but it won't let me open a browser to access the pcsupport site you mentioned.

Update, I am able to open my CCleaner and it says Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1 at the top. Hopefully that's what you're looking for.

Try running the System File Checker; from a Command Prompt type
    Code:
    sfc /scannow

I know you have no access to the internet on the crippled computer but you are on the internet on something. Use that to read and/or print out the link I gave you to try on the crippled computer.

I ran the scan and it said "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. The max number of files have been queued for repair." It had me restart and run it again.

After that, it said that the maximum number of files had been repaired and to repair the remaining corrupted files run sfc again. I ran it about 7 more times. The scan completed faster each time but it's still giving me the same message. Should I continue with these scans until I get a different message? I tried to include the latest log but I got the error message - "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing."

    Thanks!
