Missing DLL

HI
I was hoping this website would help me!
I DO NOT know a lot about computers so please excuse me if I sound stupid.
I am missing a MSVCRT.DLL on my computer.
I found a link here to down load them. My problem is they come zipped.
I can NOT open the zipped file because to unzip them I have to down load a software to unzip them. This software will not download because it needs the missing dll.
Does any one know what I can do????

I have windows 2000.
I can download some things but others gives me a
Error: "MSVCRT.DLL is not compatible with Win32s."

 

HI Again
What does this mean? "run as an executable."
Is there something special I need to do?

As an executable it means you can just double click on it in Windows Explorer and it will run. No file association is needed. Hope that helps.

Hi Everyone
I did the steps required to fix the MSVCRT.DLL now I get a different
Error. I attached a print screen of the error MSVCR71.DLL.
Does any one know what I do next?
