Missing Driver

    My son gave me his old Gateway Laptop. He couldn't find the install disk that came with the computer. I need a driver for the Kingmax DVD-Card V1.0. The laptop is a Gateway and I am currently running it on XP Service Pack1. However, the computer came with Windows 98. I installed XP because 98 didn't have the drivers I needed to get most of the hardware to run. XP picked up all but the DVD-Card driver.

    I have gone to Gateway and I have gone to Kingmax and I have searched everywhere, but can't find the driver to download.

    Would someone please help me, if they can. TIA

    Hi

    I had a good look around and it seems that no drivers were ever released for XP for that DVD Card I'm afraid, only Win95 and 98.

    You could try contacting Gateway to confirm?

    I asked Gateway via the internet and they no longer carry drivers for the Kingmax DVD Card V1.0. Thanks for trying. :wave
