Have a second listing in the restore display box for the C: drive.
List shows Acer C: system as expected.
List shows Push Button Reset as expected.
And both show a gigabyte/megabyte size for their restores.

But the last line shows Acer C: (missing) and it has no value or 0 bytes.

Made 2 new restore points and everything remains the same.

System will restore and also will re-image from a backup image. I've done both in the past year or so.
Curious if I turn restore off for this drive will it just go away, but I'm being' Curious George' as how or why it's there?

Turn system protection off on the missing C drive - it will also be turned off on the real C drive - and the missing drive will disappear. Then turn protection back on.

After reading your post I discovered I had an identical situation on my main PC and suspect it was created when I upgraded from 7 to 10. Gone now.

Thanks E'. I figured to do just that but wasn't quite sure of the results, I did a couple re-images after a no-boot situation and maybe that's how my missing drive appeared. First time I've ever seen it. Still curious of the mechanics behind it. Everything in disk management appears normal. And the pc works normally. I have done a differential image since this probably was there and wonder if it has the missing, empty disk in it? Probably will delete it as you did and then make another image.

When I get a chance I'll run Partition Wizard's partition finder on the drive as I have a suspicion the drive offset got changed during the upgrade. I suspect that whatever caused it must have been connected with the upgrade as there have been no other changes.

Running PW9 didn't reveal any previous Windows partitions but did find and correct a misaligned boot partition, saving 5 secs on bootup. Ah well.
