Missing File Error--->unable To Find Locale Data Files. Please Reinstall.

This error started today and occurs when I try to open Google Chrome. It also pops up if I try to download anything. My anti virus is up to date and I ran Anti-Malware to no avail.


I hope this a software problem but I suspect a virus. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for the quick response. I was trying to download google chrome and after I got the same error I tried a few random downloads with the same error.

 

Try a different browser like Internet Explorer to download Google Chrome.

 

Tried to get on Internet Explorer and it does nothing. No pop up error, just does nothing. I can get online with my plain google and that's where I tried downloading and got error messages.

 

Does Internet Explorer not even open?

 

Correct. My cut and paste has been acting up all day also. Do you think virus??

 

If you did full scans with both updated Antivrus and Anti-Malware programs, I doubt it.

Have you rebooted the computer?
it is amazing how a reboot can fix some strange errors.
