    For XP:
Click on Start/Highlight "All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore<-- choose a restore point just before you installed the beta program.
    * It's always a good idea to create a restore point before making any changes so you can quickly "un-do" the change(s) made.

u can try to boot into safe mode, and remove internet explorer 8.1, or do a system restore, and reboot back to normal mode.

To boot in safe mode follow these steps:
    1. Restart the computer. Immediately after the screen goes blank for the first time, or after the BIOS post ends, start taping the F8 key repeatedly. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
If the menu does not appear, restart the computer and try again.
    2. Select Safe Mode, and then press ENTER. As files load they will scroll down the screen.
Note Safe mode uses a minimal set of device drivers and services to start Windows. The default Microsoft VGA driver is used for display at 640 X480 resolution and in 16 colors.
    3. Log on to the Administrator account. If a password was never set, leave the password blank and press ENTER or click the green arrow.
    4. Click No in the safe mode information screen to start System Restore.
    5. Select Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next to proceed to select a date with restore points available.
    6. Click Next to begin restoring the system to a previous state.

umm i did every thing you said to do but after i get to the admin login i click on it and it goes directly to a black screen with a white cursor and in all four corners is says safe mode and thats it... i can only access the task management screen once again.

In Task Manager - click New Task.. in the "Open" pane type systray.exe --what happens?

I suspect that malware may be the cause.

I'm inclined to send you to the Malware Removal Forum...but keep checking back to this thread, you may get somemore ideas.

Please go through the READ & RUN ME FIRST: Malware Removal Guide
...then start a new thread Here, describe your problems and suspected malware infection if known, and attach these three requested logs.
    • MGlogs.zip (which has 5 logs inside it, including Hijackthis, just attach the whole Zip )
    • MalwareBytes log
    • Superantispyware log]
    • ComboFix log

    Here is a guide -

    Good Luck!

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe
