missing installer

Hi. I have windows Installer issues. Seems somehow I must have deleted it? Is this possible? I'm just a gimp. any solutions please jump in for a rescue. Os windows 2002 XP . Thanks in Advance. David

 

Thanks David for the quick response. I am updated to serv pac 3. Message shows 'The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can only occur if the Windows installler is not correctly installed. Contact support. I could not complete installation of the 4.5 you reccomended. David

 

Well , I followed directions and everything appears normal. I ran a scan on Registry Life and cleand up errors. I gave a down load a try and nada. At the end of the download the Installer fails . Thanks in advance

 

First of all I would like to thank you and all your commrads for all the awesome work you perform with nothing more than a thanks. Thats Priceless, THanks X a Gizzilion. The advice on Malware removal on my previous problem worked fantastic. NO more rederections.
As for my 10yr old CP. NO BIG DEAL. Its done its duty. I can still down load films and songs, and thats great. I think the next step involves a XP disc and a whole lot of time LOL . if the installer is missing or corrupt i think thats all I can do. Im typing away on a 1749 by Dell, and there is two more LT's in the house to use. The XP owes me nothing! .I seldom give up...but sometimes its best to give it a rest. David
