Missing/No Java Section in Advanced tab of IE7 Browser

i can't get onto sites i used to. when i go into the java control panel and select the advanced tab>default java for browsers the microsoft internet explororer option is greyed out, but the check is in the box. any help? should i just uninstall ALL of the java in my add/remove?

 

i just installed firefox and avant browsers and i can't open this one site on any browser except AOL!! except for the fact that java is missing in advanced options i can't find any reason why that one site i use won't open. all the other sites open GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR this is crazy.

btw i am running vists but i can't open the site on my XP laptop either. and the site is up and running cause i can get onto it through AOL.

it didn't work. do you think if i delete all java in my registry (i already backed up my registry)then install java again it will fix the problem?
