When I go to the CD/DVD Drive properties and click on the Autoplay tab and choose the "Blank CD", the option to "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" has dissapeared from the list of options and I am trying to put it back but I don't know how

If you have a data CD in the drive, open My Computer and right click on your CD/DVD drive icon and select explore. You will be able to see what files are on the CD or DVD in that drive.

Thanks for the reply but the problem is not related to autoplay itself but to the options that I can choose to open that CD with. A while back on the autoplay options for a blank CD I could choose "Open folder to view files with Windows Explorer" and every time I inserted a blank CD the contents window inmediately opened. There is nothing on that blank CD but I want it to open automatically so I can "drag" items inside for copying or whatever I choose to do i want it to open automatically.

That option of automatically opening the CD contents with Windows Explorer has dissapeared from the list of options and the other options (to open the CD with some application or to copy the contents with another application or "do nothing", etc, involve an "additional " step to open the CD if you know what I mean).

So... basically I don't know how or why that option to open the blank CD with windows explorer dissapeared (but this option still shows as an option for other types of media like Music CD, video files, miscelaneous contents , etc this option is still there for the rest of the media types listed)

the reason I posted this thread is to get some solution to RESTORE the "Open a folder to view files with Windows Explorer" option that is missing from the list of choices for the Blank CD autoplay. In other words I want things back to normal (as they were) even if this present condition does not affects nor prevents me to view the contents (using the explore in the context menu) or copy files to the blank CD or burn it using any other application. It is just a matter of RESTORING something that, for some reason, dissapeared and is no longer the main choice for Blank CDs to open automatically upon insertion (without Windows asking me what to do)
