I recently did the XP Service Pack 2, (verdict still out on if I should have or not) and now can't seem to change the security settings. I am trying to reinstall my 360Share and keep getting "Security settings won't allow download of this file". I have attempted to change the settings under internet options about a million times but it just reverts back to the original settings. PLEASE PLEASE HELP..
Thanks a bunch and happy Thanksgiving..

I had that problem, and had to go through and reset Internet Explorer, delete the Restricted sites that where in it, along with clearing the Hosts file.

I found it out due to one of the programs that I was testing on my laptop tightened up IE too much and broke it.

    Hey thanks,
Did you delete all of the restricted files or only the ones pertaining to certain sites? And, resetting IE does not seem to allow me to change the security levels...

I had to go in and delete all the restricted sites, along with removing a ad-block registry entry for ie-spyad. I found out that ie-spyad crippled IE too much.

You may want to try Firefox if fixing IE does not work for you.
