Missing Sound driver...

    I think a virus or something ate my sound driver. I have XP home, and I keep getting an error message saying that my Direct sound driver is missing, when i downloaded the driver on MG, it said that i was missing certain components and wouldn't download. please help.

    do you mean SD Card or onboard?When you download the driver install it in safe mode.Lets see some info for your comp,OK?Did you run some anti virus software?

    I don't think it's the card. I ran AVG, Adaware, and spybot. I have an emachine t1140 with an intel celeron. (yeah, I know it sucks) I'll try it in safe mode.
