Missing Taskbar Icons....

Hey peeps,
My volume icon doesn't appear in my taskbar anymore. I always had the icon next to my clock and then I formatted my computer but can't get it too appear anymore.
I have 'show volume icon in taskbar' selected in control panel/sounds and audio devices and I also have it set too 'always show' in taskbar properties but still it doesn't appear.

Any help would be great, it's real inconvenient having to change the volume the long way round

 

right click on the taskbar /properties/ and uncheck 'hide the inactive icons'
Your system tray should be larger then..;-)

 

Run this edit if that doesn't work, Restore Volume and Net Icon in the Notification Area http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/netvol.reg
