Missing uncdms.dll

I have a new Dell AlienWare PC running windows 7 which I installed a copy of Office on also bought from Dell. After logging in, the programme claims that there is the missing dll uncdms.dll as part of windows.search. I have turned off the search but it has made no dofference and I cannot find a suitable 64 bit Windows 7 replacement copy of the dll to load on to the machine. Having spent two days loading all my old programmes and files I am uninclined to unload them, reset the machine and start again. Does anyone have any ideas whether there is an easy solution to this problem?

Brand new machine. No virus or anything else I hope.
