missing "view" option...???

    All of the sudden, I am missing the "arrange by type" option in a drop down file view option selection that was there before on some folders.
    How can I restore that icon view option to the menu?

    Windows XP Pro SP-2.

    UPDATE!! Re: missing "view" option...???

    I was able to go into the folder "containing" the file folder which had the problem and right clicked to "customize this folder".
    There I was able to check the option "also apply this template to all sub-folders."
    Closed out and went to the folder I was having the problem with....wha-la!!!
    The option was there again. Hope this helps anyone else having this problem in the future.
