"mistaken message" stock scam

A friend of mine bought 200 shares of some biotech stock on the basis of a similiar message on his answering machine, he is down $138 and counting. I hope he likes the couch, it's slightly better than the doghouse.

 

wow that sucks... both the scam and your friend losing money. Well, that's why everyone should do their own research before buying stocks and to NOT take hot tips from any one person.

 

I told him so, too. I hear about these scams every day, but this the first time I've actually known one of the suckers, I mean, unfortunate victims, personally.

 

Sorry to say this, but "Stupid is, as stupid does" expression comes to mind.
